The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX85 is Now Available to Order

New to the market is the GX8 "lite," the DMC-GX85. This is one of Panasonic's most recent mirrorless digital camera releases that comes with almost all the same perks as the GX8. The main differences between the two cameras are the lower resolution Live MOS sensor (16 megapixels vs 20 megapixels on the GX8) and a fixed EVF. Here are some of the specs the camera comes with.

Although the Lumix DMC-GX85 has a small 16 MP Live MOS sensor, it lacks an optical low-pass filter which helps increase image sharpness. The sensor size allows you to capture stills and UHD video in 4k. When shooting stills, you can capture images at 10 fps with single-shot autofocus and 6 fps if you use the continuous autofocus feature. When shooting 4k video, both 24 fps and 30 fps options are available. The sensor sensitivity can go as high as ISO 25600 for low-light shooting and there is a 5*axis sensor-shift image stabilization built in to help reduces camera shake for sharper images.

Additional features of the camera include built in wifi, a 2.76 million dot electronic viewfinder, and a tilting rear OLED touch screen,
