Canon's EOS M6 mirrorless camera joins last fall's EOS M5 in Canon's much-improved M series lineup. Where the EOS M5 brought with it a built-in electronic viewfinder and large 3.2-inch display, the EOS M6 opts for a more compact camera body with no built-in EVF (although you can purchase one and use it via the hot shoe) and a smaller 3-inch display. If some users find the M5 to be too large and expensive, the recent M6 is a nice alternative.

While there are a few differences with regard to the camera body, the EOS M6 and EOS M5 are very similar cameras on the inside. The M6 uses the same 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and includes the impressive DIGIC 7 image processor. In fact, the image quality and performance of the two cameras are the same; the EOS M6, therefore, offers a nice upgrade in performance to the earlier EOS M3.
