According to the reports, Sony commenting on the launch of A6500 that the camera makes it easy to track fast-moving subjects, this combines all of the benefits of an electronic viewfinder with the immediacy of an optical viewfinder. The expanded buffer allows the camera to shoot up to 307 frames in a row. These speed and storage benefits of the Sony camera are a new front-end LSI chip, which also helps to improve photo and video quality.

In terms os Specifications, the A6500 mirrorless camera sports with Full HD recording at 100 fps up to 100 Mbps, S-Gamut for a wider colour space, 8MP still extraction from 4K video, a 14-stop dynamic range in S-Log 3 gamma recording, and a 'Slow and Quick' mode for frame rates of 1 fps to 100 fps. It can shoot 4K video in the Super 35 mm format with full pixel readout without pixel binning.

The Sony A6500 is the first Sony APS-C camera to feature in-camera 5-axis optical image stabilisation and provides a shutter speed benefit of about 5 steps. This works with all E-mount and A-mount lenses. The touchscreen on the Sony A6500 allows the users for additional tricks like pulling the focus by simply dragging your finger across the screen. It also has other features like Bluetooth, WiFi and NFC.
