Fujifilm Reveals 2x Teleconverter and Stylish 23mm Lens Hood; More info at B&H Photo

Photography News: Fujifilm has just unveiled a 2x Teleconverter for its X-series mirrorless cameras, along with a stylish new lens hood for their XF 23mm f/1.4 R lens

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 19, 2016) - B&H Photo would like to share the announcement of the XF 2x TC WR Teleconverter and LH-XF23 Lens Hood from Fujifilm. The teleconverter expands the telephoto options available for X-series mirrorless photographers by allowing them to double the effective focal length of the XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR and XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lenses. This provides shooters with focal lengths of 100-280mm and 200-800mm, respectively, which in 35mm terms equate to equivalents of 150-420mm and 300-1200mm. The optical design maintains optical quality while providing this boost to focal length, albeit with a loss of two f-stops. The teleconverter is also weather- and dust resistant, and can function at temperatures as low as 14°F. Additionally, the lens's native AF speed is maintained, and adjusted information regarding aperture and focal length is communicated to the camera.
