With a decent in-built cameras in your smartphone, you may find little need to invest in a camera. However, on adventure trips, you'd rather have a sturdy, waterproof camera meant for in extreme conditions instead of a delicate cellphone. The gadgets are designed to withstand windy conditions on a fast moving bike, capture moments under water and are break proof (to a certain extent). Here's a list of cameras you can invest in before you go bungee jumping or snorkelling.

GoPro Hero4If you want to strap a camera around your head and jump off a mountain, then this is the camera for you. The waterproof housing of the camera is rated down to 131 feet deep, which is good enough for your scuba dives too. You can use the side buttons to adjust modes — video, photo or multi-shot — and views — ultra wide, medium and narrow. It comes with  Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, which is used to connect your camera to its app on your iOS or Android smartphone.

It can also connect to GoPro Smart Remote, which enables you to see a live view of what the camera is recording using an app. GoPro Hero4 can be mounted anywhere, but, the camera is a battery guzzler, with an active life of around 90 minutes with the Wi-Fi on.
